Today is a big day for me. I will be packing right after my Tech PETE class for the PSAHPERD convention. I'm going on the trip, along with many other students, to this great event. It is held is Seven Springs, which is also a skiing resort.
While there, I will be attending sessions at the convention all weekend from Friday until Saturday. I will be up bright and early to get the most out of this opportunity to broaden my knowledge in physical education. I also can see this experience to be beneficial in networking with other professionals from different schools around the state.
Not only will I be attending this event, but I will also be helping to lead an activity session created by the FIT Club at the convention. This will increase my experience in leading an activity, especially in a large group like that.
I'm really looking forward to this opportunity of going to the PSAHPERD convention. This will help me as a professional, while still having some opportunities to have fun and get to know my fellow peers.
I hope everything is going well at the convention. I'm excited to hear about it from everyone on Monday. Unfortunately I couldn't go because of work but I'm sure it's a great opportunity to learn more about our feature profession. Hopefully I can attend one in the near future. Get the most out of this opportunity as you can!
ReplyDeleteI thought the Convention went great! I learned a lot of valuable information during all of the sessions I went to. The FIT club presentation went great too! Everyone seemed to be having fun while getting some exercise done early in the morning! Being able to network and talk to the professionals about their experiences was great also. Even though we were all exhausted by the end, it was a great opportunity for all of us to be there and experience the Convention.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed convention as much as I did. You boys really stepped up to the plate and made Slippery Rock look awesome. The F.I.T. Club workout also got rave reviews on how amazing it was. Over the years it's become quite the popular session. Congratulations on making it through your first convention. I hope the stinky bus and small chalets were't too bad, they make for good memories :)
